Single Card Tarot Readings

You might have heard us say that we include a Single Card Tarot Reading with every online purchase. (You can also add an extra single card reading to any order for $5—plus, they’re available at On & On in Scranton, PA!)

But what is it?

A Single Card Tarot Reading from 9th House comes in the form of a single tarot card with a handwritten message on the back. It is a simple yet powerful way to tap into guidance and insight. With just one card drawn from the deck, the reading offers a focused message to reflect on—whether it’s advice, encouragement, or a nudge toward clarity. This compact approach distills the wisdom of tarot into a moment of connection, perfect for a quick dose of inspiration.

Recently, someone asked how it works when my card pile starts to shrink, and I have two answers for that:

The Short Answer:

The size of the pile doesn’t matter if you trust that the message you receive is the one you need. That’s the fascinating thing about tarot—it challenges us to let go and embrace the message with an open mind. Themes appear across multiple cards, and the meaning of an image or keyword can shift depending on the day, your mood, or your perspective. Some readers even interpret the same card in completely different ways! So, the number of cards left in the pile isn’t the point. What truly matters is trusting the process and being open to what the universe is showing you.

The Longer Answer:

Because I like to go the extra mile, I actually pull a second card from a separate (and complete) deck before I write your message. You won’t see this card, and you won’t know what it is—but I use it as a guide for added clarity while crafting your reading. So even if the deck I’m pulling from only has 25 of its original 78 cards left, all 78 cards still have a chance to shape the final message you receive.

And there you have it—my little secret for ensuring every reading feels as intentional and insightful as possible!
